We’d like to share some important information with you about who can get an ETA and how to apply before traveling to the UK. For more details, please check the websites below.

\u25fe\ufe0f Who can apply<\/span><\/strong>
Whether you can apply depends on:<\/span>
\u25cf the date you travel<\/span>
\u25cf your nationality as shown on your passport<\/span>
\u00a0*Check if you can apply for an ETA.<\/a>

<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>

\u25fe\ufe0f What you can do with an ETA<\/span><\/strong>
You can:<\/span>
\u25cf come to the UK for up to 6 months for tourism, visiting family and friends, business or short-term study<\/span>
\u25cf come to the UK for up to 3 months on the Creative Worker visa concession<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/span>
\u25cf come to the UK for a permitted paid engagement<\/a><\/span><\/span>
\u25cf transit through the UK<\/a><\/span><\/span> if you will pass through UK border control (\u2018landside\u2019 transit)<\/span>
You do not need an ETA to transit through the UK if you will not pass through border control (\u2018airside\u2019 transit).

<\/span><\/p>

\u25fe\ufe0f How much it costs and How long it takes<\/span><\/strong>
It costs \u00a310 to apply. Your ETA lasts for 2 years. You can travel to the UK as many times as you want during that time.<\/span>
If you get a new passport, you will need to get a new ETA.<\/span>
You will usually get a decision within 3 working days, but you may get a quicker decision.<\/span>
Occasionally, it may take longer than 3 working days.<\/span>
An ETA does not guarantee entry to the UK.<\/span><\/p>
